Is this a waste?

If i get the TFS track heat kit from summit would is be a waste to ditch the TFS cam for a FTI custom cam? What would the gains be like if any?

I believe the track heat kit is supposed to be matched to the stage 1 and 2 TFS cams. I think you could always get more of what you want out of a custom cam. althought i dont know much about FTI cams, i know that camshaft innovations custom grinds thier own, and jay allen knows his **** when it comes to custom grinding cams. http://www.camshaftinnovations.com/

I don't think a custom cam would be a waste but the Stage 1 is a great cam for an off the shelf mild street cam. You can probably sell it for 100 bucks and put it towards a custom one.

it would be a waste since buying all the parts individually would be less expensive. Also I would highly recommend going with an FTI cam! I'm getting one made myself by Ed Curtis. He can get alot more of the potential out of your combo and without killing your driveablity.

It is true custom cams are a great way to go. But if you are buying TFS setup then they have already selected the cam that works best with there system. I doubt there would be any huge gains from running a custom cam with this set up. The best thing to do would be to talk to the custom cam guy and ask him. If he is honest he'll tell you what to expect.
