Is this amp suitable for these components?

I have Infinity Kappa component speakers, two for the front and two for the rear, and was wondering if this amp (http://discountjungle.net/ki0490wx4car.html) is adequate for powering all four of the component speakers. The speakers have a power range of 2-85 watts rms and peak power handling is 225 watts. Obviously, I also need to power four tweeters, too. Do I need more power? Or should I get this one: http://discountjungle.net/ki0412x44ohc.html . And is it necessary for me to have a four channel amp, or would a two channel do the job equally as good? Thanks in advance.

and that first kicker amp will be fine, and so would the second one. thats up to you on how much power you want.
well, I have four tweeters so I figure I mine as well put them to use. By using the second amp (the more powerful one), what kind of benefits am I even looking at, besides sending more power to each speaker? Does it result in a much bassier, clearer sound projection as opposed to a lower wattage amp? If sound quality is being slightly sacrificed by using a weaker amp, I'd probably be better off with the more powerful one.

More power will let your speakers play clearer at louder volumes. But dont overpower them and set your gains right. On a 85 RMS speaker I would run 100 watts RMS to it and set my gains accordingly so you have no distortion. The result is: your speakers are playing at thier maximum potential (85 watts) without sending a clipped signal by overpowering the amp.

Why Kicker? Are you shopping for amps by price, brand, power, etc??? IMO - older amps sound and perform better. There are a few exceptions to this, however most of the older amps just do a better job, are more reliable and can be found for the same price or less. As far as new amps go - I'd stick to US made products. It may just be in my head, but I think they are a better product than amps from Asia.

With some patience, the oldies can be found on ebay pretty cheap.

Some suggestions:
Xtant - 4180c (what I'm running now)
a/d/s - PH15, PS5, PQ20...um...I can't remember the rest of this generation
Rockford - pre Y2K products (look for "power" series or any amp w/X-Cards)
Kicker ZRs
PPI "Art Series" (or any of the pre-DEI amps)
Zapco - any
Soundstream - reference

I'm sure I'm missing a few... But when people look for amps and want a deal - I always suggest looking into getting some hi-end old stuff. Back then, they were all go and no show. They simply amplified - something that seems to be forgotten with many products today. And they were built to last. My old Xtant amps are about 8-9 years old and still going strong - I'm not sure if many of the newer Asian-made products can stand the test of time like these. The one exception would be the older a/d/s amps - those were hand-assembled in Japan...those kick ass!

Holey Moley, I forgot about the a/d/s amps. I had small 2 channel amp by a/d/s way back in the day and was impressed by its power. I still have a old Punch 150 by RF that works in my garage. I am currently running a Soundstream RUB500-1 to my sub that I got off ebay new. I have always liked the older Soundstream amps.

Well, I mostly want a Kicker amp b/c I already have a mono Kicker amp powering my Rockford sub. Since I'm doing a setup that utilizes a rear seat delete as my audio system, my amps will be exposed and neatly arranged where the seat would have once been; with the backrest portion of the seat delete being the place where my sub/box is. I was just basically getting another Kicker to match the one I already have.
