Im getting a 00-04 gt AUTO and plan to do the following:

stock motor w/ full bolt-ons,
4.30 or 4.10 gear??
set of cams. not sure on which one, want it to sound loud
nx nitrous 100-150 shot
bbk long tubes
mac off road h pipe
flowmaster 40 series
3500 stall
full suspension
drag radials
weight redudction
dyno tune

what kinda numbers should i expect, could i see 11's @ the track?

Of course you could see 11's, but it depends on several factors. What cams you use - if they're "nitrous" cams or not, how much weight reduction? Dry or wet shot? How well it's tuned etc. If you got it down to say 3100 lbs and could put down maybe 400 to the wheels on the juice (stock is around 235, so that's gonna take some serious work) you might just break 12.0. Also... why an H-pipe and not an X-pipe? Seems silly if you're going to all that trouble.

Im sure he wants an h-pipe because they sound different, and better, in some peoples opinions (myself included). Plus the hp gains between an h and x pipe are Very minimal.

I would get 4.10's personally but some people swear by 4.30's in the automatics. I guess its based on personal preference but if you plan on ever adding a blower or if you actually do the nitrous, you're going to wish you had gone 4.10's or lower, or else you will be running out of gear before you cross the 1/4 mile line. Personally I run 3.73's and like them a lot.

As far as cams go, i would get a set custom ground for your application by a tuner who knows what they are doing.

True, and I agree about the sound, but for his goal of 11's... if that is an actual goal, I'd say if he really wants to get there he shouldn't skimp on parts that won't really cost him much more and will give him every little bit of power. I'm just saying that if he makes too many compromises he might just not reach his speed goal... as he also mentioned that he wanted to get cams that sounded good, not necessarily the best cams. But of course it all boils down to exactly how much he can spend. Unlimited budget and a 150 wet shot + the right bolt ons/tuning and it'll be no problem.

Yup.

Choose cams that work with your heads and intake based on their ability to maximize power in the intended range of operation, not on how loud they are. Don't worry, with longtubes and an off-road mid-pipe, you'll be plenty loud!
