hey all, ive got a 91 5.0 cougar (maf) XR7 i bought for fun.
bought a used 88 stang engine had it bore 20 over iwth hypereutectic pistons with valve reliefs. the heads are ported e7s with 1.72 crane roller rockers, taller valve covers to clear, mac shorty headers, a 1" intake riser for the explorer upper and lower gt40, 70mm throttle body, new injectors bosch non pintle style. stock ho cam.... electric fan from a lincoln mark 8, tranny is being rebuilt now with a mild shift kit. the xr7 comes with a track locking rear and air susp. i bought new bearing kit gaskets, and had new freeze plgs put in oil pump, pan, water pump..... but im worried about the stock cam not being fun enough. i had it polished though incase i use it.
any opinions or guesses about what my outcome will be? the cougar is alot heavier than a stang, and i already know that with the riser im going to have to cut a hole in the hood and put on a cowl.
