i finally got my speedo correct. found out that i had an 8 tooth drive instead of 7. so after a $20 gear and getting my friend parker, the cop, to gun me, i got it correct. BUT now im seeing 65mph @ 1800-2000. is this correct??? i mean it seems a little low to me. BTW its an AOD with 3.73's out back. i dotn really know what to think about this at all, im so used to people saying i should be running a litle higher, and ive always complained with it haveing very little oomph at those speeds, but when i get it up to 2500+ its ok, but i think thats due to the E-cam.

am i just being paranoid?

I think autos with 373's sit at around 2000 at 60 if that helps...I'm sure a few auto guys with chime in...

sounds like all is ok to me. most guys go with a minimum of 4.10s with an auto FWIW. also, i think it feels sluggish at those speeds because you have a stock tq converter (correct me if i'm wrong) and the e-cam.

I think its more the cam...because most normal driving won't get you near the solid powerband of the ecam...If I was you and money isn't to much trouble I would get a custom cam....Good Luck...

With 3.73's and an 8 tooth driven gear there is no exaxt fix to it. the closest one is the 23 tooth gear which actually corrects for 4.10's it only about 3% off.
