I know the market value of fox stangs, but Ive stumbled upon a local deal of a '96 Mustang GT with 100,XXX miles, 4.6L, 5speed, all stock from what I can see (havent popped the hood yet) but I did look underneath and aside from it being very clean I saw a set of Flowmasters. So thats the only mod that I know of but there might be more under the hood.

Anyways the guy wants $4500.

Here's some pics

Not a bad price at all. You sh write down the VIN# and check it out before buying.

If its a clean title, then that is a great price for a GT of that year and mileage.

ya.. 4500bucks look fair to me. I would check to see if intakemanihold has leak or not tho. If it does, i would offer $4000.

Just FYI, for $4500, i would look in to 94~95 5.0 GT

I bought my Auto 96 GT for 6500 two years ago if that means anything, and it had a salvage title. I'd say I got owned slightly on that buy but whatever I guess!? Id take it if I were you, just plan on getting a major itch to mod it so you can actually beat a honda civic...

don't forget that no matter how much you pay for it, at that much mileage random expensive stuff is prone to go. would be a nice project car though

Ya I will definatly test drive the car and look it over better, hopefully tomorrow...But I also kinda wanna just forget about it just because theyre so slow. Knowing that a stock LX 5.0 fox will beat a stock '94-98 really makes me want to keep looking for a fox

5 speed is a high 14 second car stock. But I paid 6K for my 98 GT with 75K. Mine had a full PI swap, exhaust, and several other mods. It doesnt loose to too many civics

Yes, thats a good deal if the car runs and drives really good. I would jump on it before someone else does. Only downside I see is no power windows, possibly no power locks. Oh well, less crap to break.

It will be a little more expensive to squeeze power out of a non-pi 4.6 than a 5.0 though, if that is a concern.

But, if I didnt have my car and ran across that deal id go for it. Haggle on the price if you want, but 4500 seems good to me.

That is a 248A (GTS). That is a pretty rare car. Manual windows and locks, v6 seats, basically like the old stripper LX 5.0s. A little bit faster than regular GT's because of less weight but not as fast as the PI GT's. That looks exactly like my 97, same color and interior. Makes me miss her. Get it for 4k and have fun.

When I got her.

Hell, go for it. If you spend 4500 or 4000 on the car you can then get a lot of mods and clear lights should be the first on the list for 94-98 stangs.

Sounds like a good deal to me, should leave you with some good money for mods.

Not a bad price...i paid 20k for my 96 vert...they are still holding good value and actually starting to rise some.
I was thinking that might be a 248A model but it has fog lights...is it power inside? windows etc...either way its a good buy. That car around here would sell for 6-8k

I thought the GTS didn't come with the spoiler either?

But from the interior pics, it certainly has the V6 style seats and the crank windows. That's a GTS!

The 284A's and GTS could be ordered with some options like A/C, rear defroster, wing. If it has fog lights then a previous owner installed them.
