problem happens when ac is on. my ac works fine. blows hard etc. but i noticed coolant dripping out of the firewall around the area of where the h pipe and header meet. so i plug up the heater hoses. and still same issue. should I plug the heater core also?

Yep.. start there. Bypass the heater core. I'm guessing that your leak will probably stop. If so it'll be time to change the core. What fun that will be!

BTW... your heater core should be 'bypassed' not plugged. Loop the supply and return lines to the core back to one another.

If i ever replace the dash with a black one, i'm going to just remove it. i'm in socal and the stang will never see cold weather unless a blizard hits my city. the other weird problem was the a/c canister was wet(like due in the morning). i turned the car on and a/c and didn't see a leak where i looped the heater lines. so you think its excess coolant?

its probably just excess coolant left in the heater core and heater box that is dripping out. it will stop eventually if the heater core is bypassed. good luck changing it if you do....took me 7 hours to do it

One other lil' ole' thing. When you replace the core or bypass the core (whichever) it's a good idea to continue using the resrictor thats in the supply hose going to the core.
