going back to the 2010 mustang topic, its a very good chance to out run a 2010 ina an 02, because of the hp to weight ratio, the sn95/new edge cars are almost 1000lbs lighter then the s197s

What 2004 Mustang weighs 3114? Mine weighs 4000 it would have to be stripped to the bone to get it down to 3114...

My buddy's 2007 vert came in at 3900+ and its a five speed car
but on the other hand my vert weights 3540 with me and a full tank...
yours is a cobra vert with IRS and a S/C 32v.. I bet my striped 97 248a car that does not even have a back seat now is closer to 3100

well you have a 03 cobra vert, they weight a ton. The numbers he showed were for a gt with no driver and no gas.

My 98 in full street trim (spare tire, jack, 2 12's, and half a tank) was something between 3550 and 3600 with me in it, and I'm only 150 pounds. I can't speak for the 05+.

I would have to agree more around 3400 for an 04 GT, my old notch weighed 3100lbs with me in it and a full tank but thats half the car of an 04 GT. Also I would have to agree from the other thread that the 05 + GTs are fast. A friend of mine had an 05 bone stock and I raced him with my 91 notch with bolt ons and crappy 2.73 gears. We were dead even till around 105mph then it almost seemed like he had nitrous cause he blew my doors off all the way up to 140.

ive read somewhere that the 2005-2008 GTs where somewhere in the neighbor hood of like 4100lbs, and normaly when i read something it sticks pretty good. my 97gt has no power options (the completly stripped base model GT) weighed in at 3256lbs. without me in it, and a half a tank of fuel. thats after a backseat delete also. oh and street racing is for wimps who cant drive on the track. my best time was a [email protected] mph in the 1/8th mile. with everything thats posted in my signature.
Sounds a little heavy. What wheels were on your car? My car weighed 3475 with 1/2 tank, and myself in it. I weigh 200. Car was in full street trim too. My brother operates a landscaping company, and it was his scale. I wonder if scales differ as dynos do.

I had the Cobra R's on it; I assume they are steel (not aluminum), I don't really know. Subs, box, and amp are probably a good extra 30 lbs. IIRC, the wheels/tires are about 5 lbs a piece heavier than the stockers, so there's 20 more pounds. Also, the stock H-pipe was on it, and while I don't know the exact difference, I know that it took a lot more effort to drag it out from under the car than it did to slide the offroad Prochamber under it. Probably a solid 10-20 pounds there. Is the auto tranny heavier?
I have two brothers that work at two different agricultural supply companies. I only weighed my car on one of the scales. The one I weighed it on was a digital scale, and IIRC, it read 3420 when I jumped out to see what the display read. The other is an old manual scale with counter weights and such. Maybe I should go to both for consistency. I may do that next time I go home.
