my new stud mount rockers dont clear the baffles in my custom valve covers i had made a few years ago. i deleted the PCV system and have -10 AN fittings on the front of each valve cover and each line goes to its own catch can mounted on the side of the radiator support down low...just wondering if ill experience alot of oil going in there if i cut out my baffles? i can take pics if necessary otherwise i have to run a spacer (bought one dont like the way it looks b/c i show my car) or id have to make new covers.

I believe you want to keep your baffles but these guys run this setup and know more than me. Typically people run catch cans when running boost but you can still do it while N/A for different reasons.

I ran a catch can with my car before I went turbo plugged the pcv and had @84Ttop make me some valve covers with fittings to go to the catch can tucked in the fender you can see in this pic where it's mounted

So on my passenger side i have a baffle. The drive side due to the way the fitting is welded in on the angle of the valve cover there was no room for it. No issue with pushing the oil into the can. Only on a full out pass but that's normal. The key is to make the lines where they are long enough to let the oil somewhat vaporize in the line under normal conditions. My can usually just has condensation unless i go to the track or im running it really hard on the street .

yeah im boosted...10psi street only...drive maybe 500miles a year...i want to keep the baffles but if i can get away with out them i will because then i dont need to run spacers (which dont look good) or build a whole new set of taller ones....

Tall valve covers no baffles haven't experienced any issues with mine... my breathers have built in baffles on them, I never worry about it.

I almost burned mine to the ground due to over filling the can(no baffle) and blowing oil all over the place. Turned out I had welded the bung in over a rocker, then a 90* fitting with the hose running straight down. The rocker was flipping the oil up into the hose, and it ran downhill filling the catch can in just a few miles. What I did to fix it was turn the 90 fitting 180 degrees so it pointed up toward the intake and rerouted the hose so it sloped up for a foot or so before dropping down to the can. Next set up I'm going to just relocate the bung so it's not getting pumped full of oil. Hindsight...

yeah i have to check the location of my -AN fitting over the rocker...i think its pretty close...and i have a 90 right on the fitting so now im concerned...have to mock it up when i get home. how much clearance is needed? i mean there is plenty of room on the rocker itself im just hitting the rocker stud and poly lock.

No baffles in my valve covers, I use a 16AN fitting on each cover to an independant catch can and typically don't empty much more than condensation from them unless we are whaling on the car. Even after blasting down the track there isn't much more than a few teaspoons of oil/water in them.
