I have a camshaft innovations custom ground cam for my combo and it is intake biased with more valve lift, but it has less duration than the exhaust side. What option should I be selecting with int. open or exh. close, etc? Thanks, Justin

He is asking about the injector timing tab in EA, I forgot off the top of my head but IIRC it is set for the fox eecs default setting. On the eectuning site there should be more info about it as I remember it getting some detailed posts about it. I dont think it does a WHOLE lot but it has smoothed out my idle and I just left the setting at its default.

I won't give away exact specs but around .530ish intake .520ish exhaust. Stock gt40p heads, stock edelbrock performer rpm, 75mm tb, longtubes, o/r x, stock mufflers, pro-m 77mm, 24lb, 3:73 gears, etc. Tweecer 1.3 CBAZA J4J1, EEC Analyzer, and LC-1 that is being a bitch to get working correctly. Clint e-mailed me and told me to set the distributor timing to 0 for the CBAZA strategy.

The above stuff is not all that uncommon to other combos. If Clint gave you some help with your cam specs ... that will make it much more easy for you to arrive at an inj timing value.

On the other hand ... I know that subject has been kicked around a ton of times. You could find some values from others combos and certainly get closer by using those :nice: ... that is when they get the site back up :rlaugh:

Some say they saw no difference

I saw a much smoother idle from my efforts in that area :nice:

and LC-1 that is being a bitch to get working correctly.

That wb has been used by a bunch of peeps.

Have you looked on the Tweecer site to see what all they did?

Clint e-mailed me and told me to set the distributor timing to 0 for the CBAZA strategy.

What is up with this

Are you saying to run the dizzy at 0?

Please be more specific about what you speak of here :D

Grady-
Thanks for your input. I'm suprised you still want to help me out after me bugging you about a year ago about my o2s not working and then I finally found the burnt fuse; lol. Yeah I have read all over stangnet, eectuning, and innovate forums about the lc-1. I just get fustrated with it and always say screw it. Clint told me to set the distributor timing on EEC analyzer to zero, not the actual timing on the distributor on the motor; that is set as 10*. Justin

Of all the peeps who sent me PM's asking for help ............

Yours was the:

KING
TOP
MOST
#1

of em all .......... to make me think
and if you remember ... I finally threw in the towel :rlaugh:

 I thunk & thunk on that one

Heck Fire ...
I even pulled in the Big Guns from my secret source for help ;)
and
They came up dry as well :rlaugh:

I gotta tell you the truth about that little episode ;)
I've told that story several times to others
to show how sometimes ...
its the simple things you never think about

How you been Justin

Good to see you surface again :D

Yeah I have read all over stangnet, eectuning, and innovate forums about the lc-1. I just get fustrated with it and always say screw it.

Sorry to see you have all the probs with it

I've still stayed with my old outdated wb. It still works great so I've not payed much attention to the newer stuff other than I've skimmed a thread about them a time or two. I would help but just don't have enough info to be of any help other than to point you to those you have already dealt with.

Clint told me to set the distributor timing on EEC analyzer to zero, not the actual timing on the distributor on the motor; that is set as 10*. Justin

I kinda sorta figured it was something like that :D

I guess you can see by the fact I had no knowledge about that ....
I've not kept up with all the updates on EA :rlaugh:

To be brutally honest with you ...........
I kinda feel about the newer EA like I do the newer CalEdit

Its more complicated :(
and
I don't just need it :)

Now I don't wanna mislead anybody here :nono:

I stay with the older CalEdit :D
which allows
me to avoid the bugs :notnice:
and
more complicated procedures with the newer stuff :chair:

No way am I saying Clint's stuff has got bugs :nono:
He has got his stuff together :nice:
and
I've worked with him just a time or two :)
but
I would say he is a good guy with a good product :hail2:

Its just that I've worked with high tech chit all my life
and
I've learned to NOT make it complicated IF you don't have to ;)

anyway ... enough of my rambling :fuss:

Ain't that you thats got another thread where I asked for a more complete sig so I could get started thinking about those issues

If so ............ Gitter Done
cause
We got LOTS of smart peeps here who can help :nice:

Justin ... Man O Man ... that was you ... I love it

Yep that was me that long ago; I'm still at it. I have since graduated college and now have a 2 week old little girl. So now I have less time to tweec the car and put together a new combo as my time and money goes elsewhere. Anyways I love them both very much. I also have the other thread as well up here. Hopefully you will see me post some more on stangnet. Justin
