I don't know how involved you wanna get in that project but I did a bit
of research a while back with a engineer friend and a flow meter.

1) Convoluted pipe restricts more flow than smooth

2) Bends restrict more than straight

and

3) If the temp is cool outside, you will pick up power by drawing
that much cooler air than the high temp engine compartment air.

I don't know if you wanna try to accomplish all three

I'd wanna take advantage of #3 for sure
then
I'd see if I could get the other two in place

It all boils down to how much trouble you wanna go to I guess

U know Grady.....I'm all about squeezing the little hp's out.....lol
It looked like you cut your fender but after looking again I'm not sure you did....
where and how did you install the two fittings in the tube?

After I finish siding the garage I'm gonna play with the CAI....I plan on keeping the HUGE filter but I dig the straight line of yours......and I would like to get to some of that cooler air......JT had asked about me building a cover to keep the heat out.....as you can see.....not a lot of room to play with.....

DISREGARD GRADY.......I SAW YOUR REPLY IN THE OTHER THREAD...GAVE ME ALL THE INFO I NEEDED.......
