I'm about to do a gt40p head swap what all can I reuse on the swap and what do I need new valve train wise. Can I use the stock ho motor lifters and pushrods? What rockers can I use the gt40p explorer rockers or can I use the rockers off my e7 heads? Last question is what will I need for valve springs? Will be running either stock cam or maybe a smaller ford letter cam like b or e cam. (Yes I know there are better cams out there)

I intend to upgrade the valve springs but want to make sure everything else works together before dropping them on, not that a bend or brake stuff

The lifters can stay unless suspect of wear. Pushrods and Rockers from the E7 or the GT40p will work. Pretty sure the pushrods are the same length, mine were, and even when I compared both engines they were. When all else fails measure, and check pushrod length with a checker.

Change the valve springs

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

B cam is known to crack blocks. I would stick with the stock cam.
Upgrade the valve springs, replace the guides and retainers and bolt em back on. The rockers are the same for both head as are the pushrods. The key here is to spend as little money as possible. If you start getting crazy with the heads and valve train your costs will start approaching aluminum head territory.
