Ok i just got upper and lower control arms and was looking at the install. The muffler is in the way of the lower control arm does that cat back have to be removed or atleast unbolted and pushed to the side for the install? Also i was taking a look at the quad shocks and one of them is completely covered in fluid does that mean that its pretty much shot? What do the quad shocks do exactly? And on a side note.. I need a new cat back because i have rust holes in the tail pipes. The original owner just had 3 chamber flows welded in the stock exhaust. I want to open up all those restrictive parts of the exhaust that bolt up to the off road hpipe. I was looking for a catback that WAS NOT any louder then the 3 chamber flows but didnt have the 2k rpm drone. Can anyone suggest something? Possilbly with 3in tips. And if anyone has our knows where there are some sound clips of the exhausts? Thanks

Your thread asks three different questions that you can easily answer yourself or find an answer to using the search function or even brousing back a few pages. Guys get tired of the same questions... I'm just bored at work so I'll answer them.

For the control arms, if the cat back looks like it's in the way then yes you can unbolt it and let it droop out of the way (common sense). If the quad shock is covered in it's own oil than it's probally shot (see above about common sense). FYI, usually with decent control arms the quads can be removed. They act as a dampener for the stock spongy rear suspension.

For your last question about exhaust, anything is going to be louder with an H pipe vs cats. For a mello tone I'd suggest the base dynomax system.

Hope this answers some questions

I didn't have to do anything with my exhaust when I changed control arms -- but I could see them possibly interfering. If they're in the way, unbolt them or do whatever you need to do. Maybe tackle both the control arms and exhaust jobs at once?
