If you're ordering from Stangmods.com make sure you get EXACTLY what's pictured and listed on their site. They've been defrauding customers for quite some time now.

Buyer beware!!!

If you have any questions let me know

Baseless accusations? How about I ordered a product that's listed on their website and received something totally different, in a plastic bag, with no information, receipt, etc.. The product is not the same product as the one listed on their site. I know this because I consulted with the real manufacturer yesterday.

I will shoot you a PM with more info if you like.

I do not want a PM. I want everyone to know what happened. You cannot just say "they suck" you need to provide specific details like you kind of started to do in post #3

Where's the beef?

He denies selling fake products but his fate will lie in my digi-cams hands.

I saw those turn signal Stealth bulbs on Stangmods.com and decided to purchase them from him because he is/was a reputable vendor on all the forums I'm a member on. Plus, I've heard excellent things about his customer service.

Here's how Stangmods is defrauding his customers. I think this is all the proof needed to prove my point.

1) I first browsed through Stangmods.com and found the bulbs I was looking for, which are pictured below. As you can clearly see, the image says STEALTH BULBS, which are the bulbs I intended on purchasing due to their good name and lifetime guarantee.

2) When I received my order, I was first very displeased that Stangmods sent me glass bulbs in an envelope with no packing or bubble wrap whatsoever. The bulbs were simply loose in a plastic bag. I had a feeling something was not right.

3) I went ahead and started doing some research and gave Stealth Auto a call, who's the manufacturer of the real Stealth bulbs. I sent them an image of the bulbs I received and they were extremely mad and actually sent me a free set of bulbs for notifying them of the issue. As you can see from the picture below, the real deal is nothing like the crap Stangmods is selling.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! WHO KNOWS WHAT OTHER PRODUCTS STANGMODS IS DOING THIS WITH.

Well, I think they just wanted to save their own a$$. I mean, someone selling a fake product only looks bad on Stealth. I'm glad I gave them a call.

I've seen many fake (sharpie blacked out manufacuter) stealth bulbs on ebay. I think this is a popular occurance w/ stealth bulbs
+ im sure stangmods will say they use the word "stealth" as an adjective more than a brand name, even though it's capitalized

Whatever the issue or excuse, the fact is it's illegal and is not an ethical business practice. Any vendor who lies about the products they sell is not someone I want to work with or refer people to. You cannot show an image of a product then sell someone something else. That's the same as someone selling you fake Coca Cola in a Coke bottle just because it has a similar taste. Such is illegal and has been proven time and time again in the Supreme Court.

I bought some "Stealth Bulbs" on ebay. They came in a box with no labeling at all and they sucked. One was DOA the other wasn't bright enough to see it for **** in the day. I think this is quite common because people refer to Stealth Bulbs as any silver bulb. They aren't necessarily meaning of the specific brand.

I agree, many people try to sell bulbs as Stealth Bulbs but they are just crappy imitations. Due to such, they sell them for much cheaper, which is honorable given their quality. Additionaly, they don't use the same images as Stealth Bulbs retailers.

The problem with Stangmods is they sell the bulbs for the same price as Stealth Bulbs, use the same text, and even the same images... This makes a customer believe they're the same bulbs.
