Just a quick question

I got a 01 gt with an AUTO tranny. its got 94k miles and the guy that had it before me took very good care of it.i kinda have a heavy right foot so my question is how long will the trans last before i start to have trouble with it? The car has a k&n drop in filter, flowmasters and mac o/r h pipe if any of that helps. Thanks for the help

The key to helping an automatic last well is keeping the temperatures down and the fluid maintained. An external transmission cooler is a good idea, it could give you piece of mind and provide a bit of extra life to your transmission. Also, be sure to change the fluid regularly. No reason it shouldn't last another 94k if you maintain it well.

Should be just fine as long as you maintain it properly like changing the fluids at the regular intervals and don't go out of your way to do anything silly like revving it up in neutral and slamming it into gear.

my 94 f-150 still has the original 4r70w that came in it.it's only been pulled one time and that was at 196,xxx miles to put in a multi-disk stallion converter.i know it has over 300 track passes on it!
