To a new job... 100% different. Truth is I hate graphic design, web design and everything related to this stupid "design" crap. I'm ready to just work in a factory and be done with it. I'm about to start looking for another job. I might have found something that pays 18 bucks an hour which is about what I make now. I just can't take the customers anymore. I got one guy on my case (it's my fault though). My CMS thing I programmed isn't working properly anymore (this is what happens when you try to do something at 1/2 price and 1/2 the time). I offered to make the changes myself until this is fixed but he won't budge. I got another client that can't afford to pay me so I "unplugged" his website. Now he wants to take me to court.
I work for someone but I still have to deal with his clients. I don't have to chase for the money like with my own company but I'm still stuck with idiots. I'm sorry but 99% of people I have to create logos, corporate images, etc... are morons. I'd rather have an idiot boss and a couple of moronic co-workers at a factory than have to deal with all the BS that comes with having to deal with hundreds of people at a time.
I've been doing this for about 10 years. I started with Photoshop 2.0 or something like that. It was a great feeling since all my friends were still in school while I had this "new age" computer related job. Now I'd rather be just another pion at a factory doing my 40 hours a week, smoke a few joints here and there and build up a fast car.
Sorry for the rant. I'm stuck here in this crappy office with a client that has ate 2 bags of chips, a coffee and drank a pepsi within an hour. Not to mention the chewing noises and farts. Oh God I'm serious!
