I've decided to get the chrome 18 saleen's. Now, I need to finalize the size of back tires. In the front I'm going with 265/35/18, but in the back I can't decide between 285's or 295's. In the back I'm going with 18 x 10. Any suggestions? I'm leaning more toward the 285's, because I like the way they look on a buddies car. Also, where is a good place to get saleen center caps that fit for the rims at mustangtuning?

that's a nice drop you have. did you remove the front isolators? i'm thinking about doing that when i install the wheels. will there be any difference with wheel well gap between the 265's or 275's up front/ 285's or 295's out back? and where did you get your saleens from?

pick a tire sometimes the sizing will work itself out. like they will only make a 285 or a 295. or one will be more expensive than the other etc.

I would personally run 295 if it was availible in the tire I like and did not cost a ton more than the 285. they are close enough in width that I would not run a differnt tire to have them or pay alot more for them though.

just go with the 295's. i have them on my 18x10 saleens in back. its not that big of a difference in price or wideness between the 285 and the 295, but wouldnt you rather tell people you're runnin 295's instead of 285's? :D

I have the sumitos, or however you spell it in 285's on my saleen replica rims and they are not wide enough, just got curb rash on one of my rims too, make sure whatever size you get it protects the rim, 295's would be much better, my 315 bfg dr's are too wide and the fender has sliced the sidewall, some info for ya

Would it throw anything off if i decided to go with the 265/295 combo front/back? Would there be any noticeable difference (appearance or performance) between the 265 & 275 up front?

No, you just couldnt rotate you tires with a front/rear combo like that... But i dont think that matters to you since you're going with a 10" rim in the back and a 9" in the front. Also, you need to keep the sidewall heights as close to stock as possible, or it could throw off your speedo a bit. Check this out to see what i mean:

I doubt there would be much noticeable difference between the 265 or the 275. I've heard that 275's track more in the road, however, for looks, id go 275s. I have 265s on my front and wish i would've gone 275, but that could also be the tire i went with. Plus, the extra sidewall on the 275 will help the ride be a bit less harsh, if you're lowered.
