just bought 04 stang gt. couple questions on suspension

i am the proud new owner of an 04 silver gt. Ive always wanted a stang and finally got the one i wanted. anyways.... the one thing i dont like about the car is the massive gap between the top of the tire and the fender well. I have been searching the site for a little while and cant figure out what lowering springs would get it so the tire is right at the fender well. I dont want to "tuck" the tires like all the imports. i just want that gap gone. I was wondering what everyones suggestions were for a good spring.

. Both are very good companies. If you want something inexspensive check out Ford Racing C springs.

for a super low look, get h&r supersports.

look in talk for "lowered 99-04" to see some pictures of various setups.

I have the Eibach Pro kit now and have had the Steeda Sport springs on my 01. Its about the same drop and ride. See my sig for pics

you need some 18" wheels with a nice suspension drop. My Eibach Pro-Kit dropped my car 1.25" in. I'd recommend them, though most people on here get H&R

definately go for H&R Sports or Super Sports, or if you want to get your hands a little dirty and save some cash, get the Ford C Springs and cut the dead coil off the two rear springs.

Look around on the Maximum Motorsports website. They have complete packages of matched sets of springs and dampers and some great technical information. Be sure and check out the installation instructions as well.

Since I live in NC and most the driveways here are steep and stuff I had to stay with a 1" drop.

I got the Bullitt Suspension kit M-5400-A I think its called. Its like $450 and comes with springs, shocks, structs, sway bars.

But if you are looking for a real low drop, then HR, Steeda's are highly rated around here.

Remeber if you drop more then 1.5" you probably should look into getting Caster/Camber plates and bumpsteers.

Check the 4.6 talk section, there is a thread with pics of all the different spring setups. If you dont want something too terribly low, go with the H&R sports or the Steeda Sports. I love my Steeda's. You can see pics in the other thread.

I have Steeda and they won't provide the drop you're looking for. I've always considered switching to H&R
