Just bought 85 GT have a few questions guys

Hi everyone, i just bought a 85 GT with 64,000mi on it. I had a couple of questions i would like answered.

1. The temp guage doesnt work at all, where would i look first to fix this problem?

2. Is there a place i can find what options my car came with, etc...? I know on other cars i have had, i have looked at RPO codes but i cant find anything like that on this car. What do i need to do to find the options?

3. on my AC controls, i am missing one of the plastic knobs on the levers on one of the controls, where can i find this?

4. Where can i get some shocks/struts that are decent, nothing really expensive, just an equivilant of stock. Thanks

the sending unit is on the intake . Try to replace that.
dont know about the options... knobs best would be a junkyard , shocks struts cheapies are going to be kyb's...azone or peboys can orders some.. or go on ebay. They are cheaper than stockers

Plenty of shocks and struts out there.. monroe etc are all stock replacements

Hey thanks for the replys, i was looking at shocks on summit and found the kybs, but how do i know if i have the special handling package or not?

GT would be considered as having a special handling package

Actully as a matter of fact i have to replace my shocks and whal im at it im gonna replace my struts, go to places like

you can find the struts and shocks there for pretty cheap
