Just bought a '94 Cobra - Any mods worth doing?

I just bought a 94 Cobra with high miles.

My brother had it for a few years, and barely drove it, and it seems to be running really strong.

He did the following....

MAC H pipe with cats
Dynomax Cat back (he couldn't remember, and I was too lazy to look, but it's
loud, with a drone)
Aluminum Driveshaft
rebuilt t-5
3.55 gears

That's about it, bone stock.

Are there any mods that are really worth doing, without major engine overhauling? I will eventually do it, but not for a bit.

It seems to really pull mid range, but not be as torque happy low end.

I dont want to piss money into it, but if something would really help it, I would
do it.....

Any suggestions?

pulleys and maybe a costom burn, the timing is alittle on the conservative side over 3000, lookup BRENSPEED.COM helped me out majorly

Since you got exhaust, find a used cold air intake (got my for $30 from a member here) and put that on. Pulleys to would work well for you too.

Oh, don't forget a shifter.

Def a short shifter as mentioned already.


Wait until you get beat by a faster car and you get pissed, then you'll be back with more mods questions.

Shifter will be a big help. Forget the pullys, Cobras allready have underdrives form the factory.
