Just bought a computer for my mass air conversion

it is a c3w from an 93 auto... i know it i may not be the most agressive but i got a buddy that can tune it to perfection... i was just wondering if this will pluig right up to my existing 88 harness then complete the necessary steps from the TECH article about the mass air conversion

It should plug right in to your '88.. did the same thing to mine, like 2 bolts i think. Took me 2 hours for the entire Mass Air conversion! Hope your car's an auto because otherwise the comp won't work..

Hey man,
If you are interested, I have an A9P computer, maf sensor both boots, bracket, and hardware Ill give to you for $110+s/h. If you already have everything no biggy, just trying to help out with getting you converted. If so e-mail me at [email protected]
That's a hard offer to pass up. What exactly is the harness part of the conversion needed and can it be fabbed???

It is an easy install. All you need is the plug for the mass air. There are 4 wires to connect.
(1) Lead A, Red: Tap into wire at pin #37 or #57. Already in use at computer.
(2) Lead B, Black: Tap into wire at pin #40 or #60. Already in use at computer.
(3) Lead C, Tan/Blue: Add new pin at the empty ECM connector location marked #9. This is the sensor signal.
(4) Lead D, Blue/Orange: Add new pin at the empty ECM connector location marked #50. This is the sensor return.

Move Pin #11 to empty hole #32
Move Pin #51 to empty hole #38

Use 16 gauge wire. Try to use different colors to make the install as simple as you can.

All of the pins are numbered at the wire side of the ECM connector.

If you need to get some new pins you can go to any junkyard and cut them off just about any ford computer controlled car or truck.

Good Luck! :nice:

thanks... from teh tech article it seems pretty simple i just have to get a couple of those pins... do yall recommend adding the fuel pump connection and speed control conetion to teh new comp as stated in the tech article??? i think i am going to just to not have any complecations.
