So I just bought the car I've wanted for years now, a 93 cobra. I still have my 94, but an hoping to sell it soon and use that money to build a nice 393 or 408 for the 93 car.
I already have a set of used victor jrs and some 1.6 RRs. I think i want to stay EFI.
Goal: mid 400 FWHP to put on boost or N2o later... probably boost.
Questions:
Will I need a 7qt pan, or will the FMS pan work with a girdle and my goal of mid 500's to the groud?
I'm thinking I'll want a hyd. roller cam, in the .566-.577 range? I think Comp has a kit for 750 that has rollers, pushrods, timing gear, springs and retainers?
I'll need an all forged assembly? with main cap girdle? 9.5/1 compression...?
will a edelbrok RPM work, or do i need a victor or TFS R?
I'm thinking long tubes, friend suggest ceramic for heat reduction...
Somewhere in the range of 30-42lb injectors with a 80mm MAF and 75mm TB w/ a chip tune.
anyone with a similar setup pushing their car in the mid 10's?
I did a quick search, but bascially I'm trying to get a solid parts list down to start buying up before i do this work in about a month. I passed on a edelbrock intake today b/c i'm thinking that I'll need a least a RPM or larger to feed vic jrs and 393 cubes.
