I have a problem with pinging in my 93lx,ever since I bumped my timing to 16 degrees.I put it back to 14,then back to 12! But it still pings, not constant, but enough to bug the hell out of me.My ignition system is stock.I just bought a screamin demon coil, dyno mod,cap and wires.(they said the spark was to hot for stock wires) Has anyone used this product,is it a good product?? Many thanks in advance!

Haven;t used the product but maybe the pinging problem is something else. Is your egr valve working correctly? What grade of gas are you using? You shouldn't have any ping at 12 degrees of timing.

yeah, pinging isnt a matter of it bugging u or not, it can hurt the motor. when u bump the timing to have to run a higher octane.

as for Performance Distributors, i have heard nothing but GOOD comments abou them, plus check out the SN reviews section, all good also.

-now i got a ? for u, doesn teh SD coil plug in using the stock plug??

I have been using that coil and dyno mod for a couple months now and it seems to me to be the best, even over msd and accells.

What he means is, the new coil you put on the car, did it plug into the factory harness like your old coil did?
