Got a flat tire near my place last week. Ordered new one's from Tire Rack. Limped the Stang to the closest shop (only about 3 blocks away) to save a AAA tow in case I really needed it someday. So I ride by this morning on my motorcycle and notice that its done (no phone call from the shop). I stop in there to pay for it so I can ride home and walk back to pick it up. And the first guy I talked to said he couldn't help me, and that I had to talk to the shop manager. I though I was going to get a pitch to fix all the little piddly crap thats wrong. No. Oh no. His first statement was, "How did you get an inspection sticker?"
NOTE: No emissions equipment & foglight rewire (which creates the "illegal" situation where the fogs don't cut off when the hi-beams come on)
One of the service guys wrote "No legal for you sir" on the work order. And the guy goes ON and ON and ON about all the stuff thats illegal and then told me about the penalties and that if I bring it back to him ever again he would report it. Because everything there is done "by the book."
I just said, "I'm glad I don't need an inspection then." and signed my paperwork and left.
