GTR and Saleen stickers and oil company stickers and TEAM RF Stickers and... RICER.... oh I guess he didn't have a radar detector either and thought he was winnning, well he got pulled over. EOS

I got a story but it isnt a kill, just a typical ricer doing a double fly-by.
Me and my brother installed a tri-ax in his Mach yesterday and we went to go test out how it feels. So were at a red light and my brother punches it through third and then slows down. He slows down to about ~45 mph and looks in the mirror and says "Damn, that little bucket is flying." Next thing I knew some POS Civic hatchback comes flying by us in the right lane, swerves in front of us into the left lane so the he wouldnt rear-end a mini-van, and ends up behind a clean looking fox stang that he gets next to, almost side swiping him, then flies by the fox and turned on his hazards. :notnice: :rolleyes:
 
I've got a pretty funny one... The other day i was driving to work and we were in pretty much traffic, when an integra pulls up beside me and starts reving his rice up, and the whole time he was revving his engine, he was looking over at me. What he didn't notice was that the car in front of him was stopping to make a left turn and there was no turn lane, as he's reving his engine and looking over he smokes the car that was gunna turn. It's bad, but i thought that was funny

I love it how when they rev up their engine and they are constantly looking over at you. Its like they think that all of a sudden you're going to be like

Alright i have one from not too long ago

So last night i was rollin down airbase going to get some bertos (mexican fast food spot) when i seen this 97 M3 switch lanes, pass me up and get in front of me. I was like fawk that no one gets in front of me, so i pass him and get in front. Then he switches lanes to the left and flysby me and puts on his hazards as i was slowing down for my exit, so i was like fawk it and shifted down to third and started to catch up, then we had to stop as we came to a stop light, he got into the turning lane and was about one car behind me and his boy in the passenger seat started talking chit, he said "your stang dont got chit on this, he was like this a BMDub" Then i said "you want to see how much i got on that" so we turn around on airbase and he follows me to the next stoplight. So we both await the green light with our engine reved. The light turns green and we both launch hard (i launched way better than him), 5300rpms slam to 2nd. As i hit third i notice i had 1.5 cars on him and only kept pullin cars. As i hit 4th i looked back and he was way the fawk back their, it looked like he gave up. So i turn around again so i can get some grub fo sho this time and he follows. he gets next to me again at about 2500 in 2nd gear (i have no clue how fast im going cuz my speedo's still off) and his boy in the passenger seat was now jockin my stang he said "my boy doesnt believe in american muscle", i was like yeah sure :rolleyes: . Then the M3 punches it and goes, so i do the same and walk him. We got to the next stoplight and he asked how much HP i had, and i told him 205 rwhp, then the dude in the pass. seat looks at his boy and just smiles.
 
k, i don't have any really funny ricer stories cause i don't like to start races with them but if they start it i'll do something about it. but i got one off the top of my head about a guy in a 95 5.0.......

i'm driving around goin down this nice staight street and i look in my rear veiw and i see this stang weiving in and out of traffic tring to catch up, i was like "ricestang" so he finally gets about 3 or so car lengths back and he has no one in front of him and i have no one in front of me, so i see him trying to do the ricer fly-by so i drop down to second and gun it.... anyway i denied that fly-by then i back off.... a little later down the road i'm in second goin slow because i'm puliing away from a light, and he guns it and so do i, i start pullin away, then i miss third :bang: and he pulls away, i was like ah well he must know i was beating him anyway.. so we catch a light beside each other with traffic in front and i roll down my window and said i missed third, he was like ah well it happens... then i relized this guy works with my buddy at ford, so i ask him if he knows my buddy and so on. next day my buddy calls me and says the this guy at work was saying that he killed a 88 gt (ME) and bragging about it.... i was like wtf.,.... i say this guy qualifies as a ricer

My favorite ricer story of them all is from a few days ago when this guy in a Civic was revving at my brother in his (completely stock) 240sx for no apparent reason. He revved for a couple seconds and his foot slipped off the clutch and he rearended the guy in front of him. Easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life, I only wish I had a camcorder at the time. I Talk about a Kodak moment.

Well..this is my first post on stangnet, and I wanted to open a new can of worms. I am a proud owner of a boosted Honda Civic and have only been boosted for about 2 months. But the purpose of this post is by no means defamatory towards mustang owners. I myself, love the 5.0. But that is beyond the scope of this post. I am here to state my experience with a late gen GT...it was a 01-03 GT stang. But before the race..here's a little background on my civic:

Back to my encounter with a GT stang. I had only been boosted for about a week. I was on my way to autozone to pick up some items for my car. As I was about to turn into autozone, this very clean black late gen GT on factory chrome wheels flies by and revs at me as I am about to turn into autozone. It sounded really mean and startled the crap out of me, but I took the bait. As we were cruising side by side, he gave me a friendly nod, and at about 35mph, I took the jump in 2nd gear. By the end of my 3rd gear, I was going at about 85mph and was ahead with about 2 cars in between us. After the race we met at a stoplight, and he was a very nice guy. He told me all he had were simple bolt-ons..and I told him I was boosting on 10.5psi. His response "No wonder......I like your car man, it must be a blast to drive!" Then I told him that my race with him was my very first kill and first race after being boosted. He then told me to look out for him the next time we run into eachother on the street :-) After that, we both gave each other a thumbs up and I turned around and went back towards Autozone. It really surprised me, with the reaction he gave me. Especially, after reading this thread, I see soo many stang drivers that give no respect to imports.

Do all of you guys truly hate imports for a specific reason? Or is it just because your on the import vs domestic bandwagon? C'mon guys, the import racing culture isn't that bad is it?

Girls, wrench heads, and fast cars...we have a lot more in common than you think!

k the way i see it your not a ricer cause you put money into the engine and not so much on 10 foot wings.. ricers are people that drive bone stock cars put thousands into the exterior styling and think they're car is fast.

but i have to say if you would put the same money into a v8 car you would have a faster car.

I totally agree, but to be honest, as much as I do love speed, it meant so much more to me to be able to beat faster cars with a 1.8liter 4cylinder. And to make it more enjoyable, its out of an econobox. And of course gas mileage is a big positive. With my car as it is now..I am putting out 28mpg street and highway driving combined. I fill up 93octane once a week and only spend around 17dollars to fill up 10gallons which is full capacity.

ya i see what yer sayin kinda the sleeper thing goin for ya, i'm kinda planning the same thing for my stang, i want it to appear to be a stock 88 Gt but be far from that, then bring on the vipers......lol

Thats right, put money under the hood ,than do suspension and body last one

I actually put money into my suspension first. I used to autocross my car a lot a year or two ago. Either way...I was very happy with the route and the timeline I have taken with my car. To be honest, if I could start over, I would have still went with suspension first. However, I may have worked towards an All-Motor setup with a 1.8 liter vtec motor rather than the turbo setup i have now. Im sure you blown stang guys know what I am talking about when it comes to the headaches of maintaining a car that was not meant to be boosted from the factory.

i don't know all u spent on ur car already but don't u think all the extra money for the turbo and components equal a few bolt ons for our cars and slightly worse gas mileage... which would be possibly be equivalent in the far future?

the biggest thing for me is i really don't like the look of ur car (no offense). it's probably just ur group and all but even stock it doesn't do anything for me, then many people put the 3' wing on there and just blow it all to hell

maybe i'm biased, i'm white and my dad used to own stangs... i've always loved our body style

Best ricer story I have: Riding shot gun in my buddy's 92 hatch. A kid in a GS-R with an intake and fart can raced us. He was shifting at red line, my buddy was driving like a normal person and walked him (ony mods on my friend's car are punched cats and flows).
The guy was like...'y0 I was pretty close to you considering this is a 4 and that's a v8.'
I replied 'we weren't even pushing it buddy'.
My friend luanched the next light and put 3 cars on him by the top of 2nd.

However, paint your front lip. Then build your engine and crack the boost up and eat most the cars that think it's just a honda ;)


Thanks for the compliment...I haven't painted the lip because I've been lazy and spent most of my funds on piecing my turbo kit and getting it dyno tuned. But to be honest...having the unpainted lip draws more attention(races) to my car which I like...lol C'mon we all know that everyone who see's a civic with an unpainted body kit automatically thinks "easy prey" God knows I do...LOL!
