Then why are all the blown cars whining?
You should race him from a stop and let him spray from the get-go, just to see how bad he'll get you.

"your stock(other than gears) and his slightly modded talon are still slow as crap in my book"

hahahhahhah ok go drive your talon, i could careless, i just dont like those cars, ive driven them an i dont like how they feel, its my opinion, its just funny how he talked all this **** how he would smoke me an i just destroyed him. also for me my car is fast, i dont know if you have been in a car with 4.30s before but for a stock motor it ***-kin moves. im young and dont need a race car quite yet so what i have is fine for me.

The DSM's are pretty quick, yes, even stock they can hit 14's. It's ashame they have trouble staying together though. I have had three, one n/a, one fwd turbo, and one awd turbo, and all of them had major driveline problems. They just can't take a beating like a Stang can!

I guess you no nothing about TSi's "Black95GTS". He probably wasent even spraying on you. Don't mess with turbos my man. BTW what mods do you have.

I wouldnt slam him like that... if you'll notice he said "he looked over and then took off."

Im guessing you know a whole lot about these new things called turbos and could tell me that once the car hit 120mph the turbo had not hit full boost yet, and somehow this 4 cyl was keeping up with the mustang on moderate boost, and then once the turbo was spooled the Talon made a huge visual change in speed and was gone, like that!

No. Nitrous. Anyways stock turbo DSMs with boost controllers running on 15 psi spool very quickly, and in the 110-130mph range I highly doubt that the turbo is making anywere under 15 psi.

Boost is in no way speed ralated. You can be doing 15mph and at 15psi, but doing 20 and have almost none...Its all rpm and load based. I get full boost by 3700ish RPMs and I never drop back below that when racing.

I bet the guy down shifted cause he up shifted to early, and he realised that he could down shift to accelerate more (just kidding, playing of TF&TF)

I am aware that it is the same car as an Eclipse underneath. But really, it doesnt matter. It says Eagle so its an american car. All modern american cars have parts that are made by other brands. Some parts in my cobra are japanese. A dodge Neon SRT 4 is mostly Japanese. You can make that areguement for almost any car made today b/c all the parts dont come from the country its made in. But you can identify the car company with the country its based in. So yea, talon= usa car.

Technically its a DSM or Diamond Star Motor car underneath, which was a joint effort by mitsu and chrysler.

I was not trying to bash him at all. On the other hand you ask me if I know anything about turbos? Yes I do, probably more then MOST of the people on this site, excluding chris and acouple others. This thread should be closed for its responces, "He won because me sparyed on a stock mustang". Some of the new guys have tunnel vision, I has also thare once but then I started to except all car enthusiast. You have to understand, you might have a American Muscle V8, but that doesent mean a 4 banger can't beat you.

Uhh, my American V8 can beat ALL "4 bangers"

*For those with "tunnel vision" remember, Hayabusa's and R1's ect. are all "4 bangers"

I raced an Eclipse just 2 weeks ago, 5 races, and I got 4 of the 5 wins.

First im not sure if it was an AWD, but off the line he tried spooling the turbo. The first race; I beat him off the line, by second gear(you could hear the blow off valve) he had me 1/2 car lenght, by 3rd gear my stang is playing catch up, and walking him slowly.

The only time he got me was on a role. Mind you my car is an Automatic, and did not have the TB installed.

Right now im installing some headers, and an H-pipe. (gotta add to my sig)

How do you figure I have tunnel vision and do not except 4 bangers? I was pointing out in my post, stang gt 1994, that you just seemed to act like you were of a higher knowledge than the thread author, and you told him that he probably could not tell if the car was on nitrous.

If it matters at all, I drive a n/a 1990 plymouth laser as a beater, and none of the people I hang out with drive domestics, they all prefer sport compacts. If you dont think I can except these people as car enthusiasts too.. k.

Spraying or not... either way.. you got outrun. Dont matter how you get outrun, if he's faster then he's faster. But thats what you get for running all the way to 120 anyways.
