Well I took my alt into a shop that my dad knows the people well at, and it was completly shot. They basically changed out all of the internals and cleaned up the case and sprayed something on it... Kinda looks like a graphite color. Anyways, when I went to pick it up, the price came to $95.85 Does this price sound right? I don't think the place would try to screw me over, but it seems a little steep but my alt is working great again.

you shoulda ordered from where I got mine. Brand new, not rebuilt, and a bit more amps for not much more than you paid for your rebuild

Seems kinda steep, since you can get a 200 amp unit on Ebay for $150.00

Oh well, Its fully rebuilt so its like getting a new alt. I needed it badly and couldnt wait to have one shipped to me and we wouldnt know the price until it was done. By badly I mean it wasnt putting out ANYTHING to charge the battery... no wonder why my car wouldnt start right up if it stalled

Shops never go by ebay prices. The altenator rebuilder we all use around here is cheap and charges about 20 bucks to us shops, so 90 sounds about right to an individual.
