Roush Just got my car off the dyno

Well, after the engine rebuild and break-in period I took the car over to powertrain dynamics to have Steve check it out. Numbers are 394rwhp and 409rwtq on a very safe, conservative tune. The high today was 398rwhp and 409rwtq. I'm very happy with that.

No more pinging, no more smoking, no more oil loss.

good numbers who did the engine. There is alot more in that combo i bet.

Thanks guys. The 02 E was rated at 425hp, 440tq. My numbers put me at about 460hp, 470tq, something like that.

Steve stated that the car can easily do over 400hp with just a degree or two more of timing (its at 11 now), but for the slight gain its not worth it. I do have a second tune on it for 100 octane, which has more timing in it. That's for autocross stuff. Maybe I'll see what that can do one of these days.

I'm just happy with a safe, reliable tune for everyday driving right now. I don't want to have to rebuild this thing again anytime soon.

Oh, and my dad and I rebuilt the motor.

With 14deg or even 19 degrees of timing you wont ping as long as you have good gas and 11 something af ratio. Now put slicks on and launch the f out of it. you have a easy 11 second ride
