Well...
It wasn't bad... I suppose.

My best time was 15.05 @ 96.4 mph

and that was with myself and my buddy in my car...
I suppose that's not bad for a lightly modded stang.
MAC Cold Air Intake,
Pulleys,
Superchip,
and Flowies...

I think I'm going to have to get this car into the 13s though :nonono:

I'm not disappointed... my buddy was impressed with some of my shifts.
Not bad. Not bad.
I don't know what else to say.

I really wanted to break 14 seconds, even with my buddy in the car.
Hmph...
I am a bit disgruntled.

I think a high flow catted H or X pipe would be better than headers to start. Or do both. I only did headers because I got them off ebay for cheap. Didn't help at all with the stock h pipe that I still have for now. How was your 60' time?

Caldwell congrats on losing your virginity! LOL! The good news is that with a 96mph trap speed your car is capable of 14.3's as it sits right now once you learn the proper launch and shifting techniques. Get your buddy out of the car and I imagine you'll pick up another 1-2mph... that's 13 second MPH given a sub 1.9 60' and some quick shifts.

It's pretty cool some of these old timers cough Paul and Vib still remember their first times.. as if there was any doubt they wouldnt? 14.4 stock is impressive.. I'd like to see you shift!

and I bet you could definately hit 14s without your bud in the car, nice run

Hey, I'm not old! But since you mentioned remembering my old times...

stock: 15.2 at 90

added 3.73's, HD clutch, pro 5.0 shifter, x pipe, flowmasters, and bumped timing: 14.96 at 91.5mph

added pulleys: 14.6 at 94.89mph

added edelbrock performer intake, 65mm T-body, shorty headers: 14.3 at 97.2mph

added nitto DR's and a homemade CAI: 13.8 at 98.5mph

added AFR heads, FTI cam, fuel upgrades, eec tuner: 12.7 at 107

added 315 DR's and a different track: 12.5 at 109

added a shortbelt and yanked the pass seat on nittos: 12.33 at 110
on ET streets: 12.19 at 112.5mph

added tubular K member, A arms, coil overs, adjust. shocks and struts: 12.03 at 112.1mph

How's that for my old feeble memory!?!? LOL! :D

What the fawk was your buddy doing in the car? Regardless, those times aren't bad. That trap speed is good for mid-14's or so. Just get some more practice, and lose your buddy (a good .15 seconds or so) and you'll see some better times for sure.

Seeing this makes me even happier with my progress. Considering I was able to run 14.4's @ 96 without my ported manifold or Pro M and with an AODE. Thanks Paul. I wonder how close I can get to 13's without a stall converter. Hmmmm.... Ok sorry to hijack I'm done now :D
