I installed Baer 2-piece drilled/slotted rotors and also Hawk HPS pads. While driving home I can hear the pads rubbing the rotors while just driving. I get home and raise the front of the car and move the wheel by hand. I can hear the brake pads rubbing against the rotors. Is this normal untill the pads wear a little or is something wrong here that I need to fix? Thanks.

No I didn't use any grease when I installed the new pads. Do you think this is why the brake pads are resting against the rotor. Because the pads are not seated all the way in the caliper?

Well, a lot of people make the mistake of just throwing new pads in the calipers. It is critically necessary to clean and lube the calipers at key spots. The Haynes manual has good info. You should break them back down and clean and lubricate them properly. Also, I think Hawk pads tend to be a little thick, you could also sand a little off when you have the calipers back apart.

Here's the Bullitt Archive article on front pad change:

Sticking caliper maybe? But it is always a good idea to grease up the pads in certain spots when you install them, usually on the top and bottom of the backing plate, as well as on the backing plate where it contacts the caliper piston. The grease will help reduce the noise.

But if its contacting the whole time while you'd drive, i'd say the caliper is sticking. But i'd have to see it to really be able to tell
