Well, wasn't expecting to be getting a car any time soon, then an idiot totaled my G35...

So the new 5.0 was just too much to pass up.

Looked at a BOSS but the 10k market adjustment the local dealer was confident he would get made me find a California Special.

Got it tinted right after I picked it up, will probably look into lowering it about 1" and then look for a good tune and K&N drop in.

Also, considering getting some 255/45s put on the rear as the stock tires aren't that wide.

The little I've driven it so far has been a blast, can't wait to get more seat time in it!

I'd take a GTCS over a Boss for a Daily Driver (You can't get the Boss with Ford Sync). What options did you get?

3.55 Rear end
Comfort Package
HID Security Package

I think that is the only additions beyond the California package.

Yeah, the BOSS looked bad but there was no way I was paying the 10k market adjustment and I do like the interior of the CS better.

Looks nice, man. The rims are sharp on those, too.

I can't really tell from your pic. Is the paint on the wheels black or argent (i.e. the same gray color found on the 2011 CS). Back when I was considering a 2012, I found conflicting information.

Does NOT look black from where I'm sitting. (on a 32"monitor)

The wheels are the same argent color as the 2011.

Thanks for the compliments!

What is the break in on these (I know... I should probably open the manual!) I don't want to wind it too high too soon!

These cars don't require a lot of break in. Vary the highway speeds (so as not to remain at a constant RPM for an extended period of time) for the first 1000 miles.

I think that as all the manual stated...but I'm still old school. I did that but didn't beat on her too bad. As mileage increased, so did my aggressiveness with her. I'd say by 1500-2000 miles I wasn't worried about bouncing off the rev-limiter. Keep in mind, clutch, tires and brakes need some break-in as well - you're not going to hurt it by taking it (relatively) easy for the first 1000 miles. I changed my oil at 2000 miles as well (used the same Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic blend that it came with). I'll switch to a full synthetic when I change it again (probably around 7k miles).

Thanks JKidd,

That's basically what I've been doing so far, just not running any length of time at one rpm. Haven't wrapped it past about 5.5k yet either.

Figure I'll get a little more aggressive as I go!
