Having a family and all, I am limited to the mods I can put on my car. I will basically try and get one mod a year. On the engine side, would a K&N FIPK intake be a smart mod for my first mod. I don't want gears because I'm sticking to street tires. K&N claims 10 hp on their site. Anyone ever test it on a dyno. As a stand alone mod, what would be better for the money. Thanks.
If you want power and a little sound, I'd get an offroad X or H pipe in place of the factory catted pipe.
I agree. For the same or less money, an offroad x or h pipe will give you more power than you would get from a catback and the sound will change too. The stock catted midpipe is more of a restriction than the stock catback.
