just added a k&n intake, and flow master axel back exhaust. to my 2006 gt automatic now my car falls on its face. if i get on it from a dead stop. have not reflashed it yet the I was told the K&n did not require it but i still plan on getting a sct. it seems worse after driving on an highway and stopping at a ramp. any help would be appreciated.

I put a K&N intake and Flowmasters on my 05 and it didn't require any reflash for that upgrade. I can't imagine why you are having that problem. Are you sure everything is cool with the sensor on the Air tube?

When I put a CAI on my 01 GT, I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to let the computer "learn" the new flow-no problems. I don't know if the 05+ CPU works like this because it is so sensitive. All lines connected? Possible excess oil from K&n filter messing with the MAF? Sorry I can't be of more help I'm just guessing here.

How loud are the flows? There's a chance they could be causing the knock sensors to detect knock and retard the timing. I had a Corvette that did this when one of my mufflers had a bad baffle weld.

thanks guys

well i might be an idiot, i disconnected the battery this morning, for about 20 min which i did not do at all during the install of any of the new parts, and took it for a short drive seems to have cured the problem. and the car seems to be running alot stronger i was considering sending the k&n back but now it seems pretty good,
thanks
