So I was surfing the internet and I came across this

http://www.raceforspeedracer.com/

IMO it's hideous; not cause its a vette (i like nicely done vettes) But there's something wrong with it... is it like a miata conversion or something? cause it's got airbag steering wheel right? and the sides don't look right.

Btw I grew up reading speed racer comics and i think this movie is gonna be really bad, i mean the race scenes...i wish they made them more realistic.

I think it's a C5 with 2nd generation styling...

I don't like it.

EDIT:
It's been a while since I've driven a C5, but that steering wheel doesn't look right. Looks like it's out of a Blazer.

I also like how it says, "tricked out rims," even though they're just C6 wheels. I guess my '95 has "tricked out rims" also since it has '96 Cobras.

Probably my biggest peev with ppl that do classic cars is putting those Front Wheel Drive modern looking wheels on them. I know I know, its the modern suspension of a vette. I don't care though, it looks terrible. With the right set of wheels that car would look 1000 times better IMO.

I thought they were the same? You'd think they would be true to the one in the movie. That one there 'built by spike' doesn't come close, does it?

Ya it was at the NYAS and it was an ugly car. The kids liked it.
