Anyone running the KB with an automatic GT? What rear end gear are you running? I'm getting ready to change my gear to a 4:10 but I'm worried this may be too steep for the KB when I install it in a few months.
kenne bell suggests 3.73s as the best gear to go with. Im debating the same thing, but i already have the 4.10s so im just gonna put them in and when i get my supercharger later on, if its too much ill just change em out.
I honestly think 4:10 with a KB will be too much of kick. I'd see and advantage if you had a centrifugal supercharger...the 4:10 would allow you to rev your engine much quicker and hence build boost more quicker. With the KB twin screw you don't nee to rev the engine that much to see full boost. The twin screw are positive displacement superchargers and build the same boost at any rpm over 2000. I have 3:73 gears with my set up and it more than enough kick. Just my .02.

Where did they make this suggestion? Their web site says "Lower gears not necessary". I wouldn't mind throwin in some 3.73's to help my heavy automatic vert but I've only hesitated because I plan on getting their 9PSI kit
I had 4.10's and I had to switch, they were just to much for the street, and I was out of gear at about the 1000' mark with them. The 3.55's are just fine for a 5-speed, thats what ken christy reccomended to me. I think an auto would be fine with 3.73's

Hey thanks for the link! I love the way they scientifically and dispassionately lay out the pros and cons of each mod. I remember being frustrated at the delays in the relase of the 4.6 kit years back. But the more I read the more I appreciate it and realize it was worth the wait.
