ive been searching around and havent found a real answer...on kb wedsite is says no alteratoins to hoods need to fit there blowers...i heard controversy on this..i need to kno if i can fit the 2.1 on a gt with the v6 type hood?

If I remember correctly you should be able to use the stock hood

im just trying to find out before i order the kb soon..i hear mixed things abou the fitment some say u can if u take hood liner out and some say u cant ...i kno u cann fit the 2.2 i want to find out for sure if u can fit the 2.1

You should be able to fit the 2.1 with no modification. Call KB and ask to make sure.

it will work with a factory hood

Gt hood.
I think the 99-03 GT and V6 hoods are the same minus the scoop stuck on top. The 04 V6 hood is different.
