I'm planning on getting a KB Blower for my car. It is gonna be a street car. I want to have about 400+rwhp, and a bit more later one once i get a built up engine. Would the 1500 be good enough (i know it's rated at 450hp) or should I just spend an extra $300 and get a 2200. Probably going to be running around 6-8lb boost and 8-10 on built engine. I have never ridden in a KB car so that is why I am asking.

Edit: I am just talking about the blowzilla/standard 2200 not the one with the flowzilla inlet. I don't think i will ever be getting around 600+hp. Especially not with the KB torque table (there is no way in hell that can be called a curve )

Most people I've seen with KB1500's have trouble getting above 350 rwhp. Best to go with the 2.2L.

what Dave said. Just depends on what boost/hp you want to get out of your car.

I got 365/410 out of my 1500 and went 11.7@119 on a stock cam/AFR combo. I wish I would have gone with the 2200 in the first place. I would still have a Kenne Bell powered car!

Would it be a better choice to get a 255 fuel pump with 42lb injectors, along with t-rex inline and a fuel pressure regulator or stick with stock cobra 110 fuel pump with 42 lb injectors and get a Boost-A-Pump?

Are you sure about the AFPR?

This is what it says under someone's mods on a kb forum
Fuel System
Ford Motorsport / SVO Injectors 30# (Flow matched)
Kirban Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
Walbro 255 lpm in Tank Fuel Pump
