Kenne Bell 2v 9lb kit...

yes I was holding the camera but I now have a new camera holder thing that goes on the windows but I have yet to do another vid. Glad you all enjoyed it :D Also my boost gauge is off by 2 lb's, so it only hits 10lb's, but it starts at 8.5lbs once you hit the gas and climbs to 9 at about 3K and then kinda flatens out. I have another one of the gauges lit up and again it is from 25-115 but no burn out. Let me know if you want anymore! KB freakin rules!!!!!!!!!!

i love KB, i am ordering it rite now.
i am soon to be boosted :spot:

i looked on their site and it seems to me that this is a "bolt-on" type deal and no other parts required, is this true? also the cost seemed to be lower than that quoted in the thread, 4899.99 intercooled (about 800 less non-intercooled). looks like an awesome setup, sounds to me like its time to start savin up.

Charleston has a club called low country mustangs...Once work cools off a bit I'm going to start going to their little get togethers. There are some mustang guys here in Beaufort to... They guy that made the EFI software is from here to...he has a little shop set up and does road tunes and the such. Maybe we can all get together at the track one night.

Sparkplugs are the only thing you need other than some misc. supplies (coolant, electrical tape, locktite, etc.)

I am already a memeber, I was at thier first dyno day and was unimpressed with the dyno they have down here, it was way off. I expected lower numbers de to the heat and humity but what I got was rediculous. Some of the cobra guys were also way down on power. I try to go to the get togethers but I have to go to school 65+ hours a week so I don't get much time off to go do fun stuff. I might have more time after the first 3 weeks and have a decent gpa. Anyways, I will send another one out if someone else wants to host cause I think we killed the band with from the other vid sory bout that guy :D

that video was good, but my question is how are you getting 50mph out of 1st and 90+ mph out of 2nd gear with 3.55's? Also when you shifted into 2nd it seemed to be below you peak tq, and seemed to bog a bit.

Looks like he did a rolling start from about 20mph, so he was already in 2nd.

my apologies then. Is your clutch slipping going into 4th? Awesome car man, and you must be suprising a lot of cobras out there!!

My clutch is shot... 400+ rwhp and 40K miles later yea she needs some tlc. The adjuster is as far out as it can go, My new clutch will be going in with my new motor and more boost! :D

What does everyone think of putting a KB on a 2002 GT daily driver with 45,000 miles. I put about 22,000 miles/yr on my car. I don't race, just want more power to have a little fun every once and a while. Also, can the chip that comes with the KB kit be calibrated for different gears than stock or would I have to buy a seperate calibrator. I am thinking about getting the 6lb kit and than a couple of years when I can buy another car for daily driver, upgrade to 9lb with all the extras.

i think you would be fine with the KB because i have 57000 miles on my car, and i just order the KB 9psi.
don't worry about the gear, cause' when you order the kit, u have to fill out the chip data form. That is when u will list all of your mod that u have on ur car. they will fix everything for you :nice:

I you are thinking about going to 9lbs in the future, then you can't go with the 6lb kit...they are two different animals. They can program the chip to accomodate your gears. I don't imagine that you would have any problems with the KB as long as you don't run it into the ground. :nice:

:) Thanks for the help. Now off to work to make the money. Just curious, how is the 6lb different from the 9lb. The KB is not like centrifugal blowers, where all you do is replace the pulley and get a new tune for higher boost?
