Kenne Bell Noise

Installed my Kenne Bell today and am wondering about the steady whine/whirr and chirping sounds from the supercharger at idle. Loud enough to be annoying but not sounding like something is going to come apart.

I have an email into their tech support but wanted to hear from the group as to your experiences.

KBs are supposed to be loud and whine alot.

That one of the reason Im getting one.

not ture at all. my KB on the 02 is very quiet. at idle u cant even hear it. u can hear the whine at WOT only

you sure theres oil in the blower? everything nice and tight?

It shouldnt whistle or whine as much as a vortech does. their apparent lack of customer service is the main thing preventing me from getting one. hopefully the gears arent eating themselves. id check and re-check the oil and go over anything else that they are gonna blame on you. If all looks good call and see what they say, if you can reach anyone. keep us posted please

Oil level checked and rechecked. Haven't had a reply to my email but it's been less than 24 hrs. It's one of those sounds that just seems to be there without a specific location. Listening to the KB with a stethoscope one hears what one would expect no grating noise. Same with all bearing locations. Maybe it just needs to settle in!

I don't have a boost gauge installed. KB says the kit delivers 5-6 psi of boost.

That's the new 5.0 standard from KB.
