I'm not a big fan of CD's which is why I have become particulary interested in the Kenwood Music keg. The problem I have come accross is that the music keg states it is only compatable with kenwood recievers. Most of the lower priced Kenwood recievers are not too appealing (as far a looks go). Does anyone know if there is a way to adapt this system to a 2001 GT? I did see that the company behind the music keg (phatnoise) makes a system compatable with stock radios but it is unreasonably priced around $799. Personally I would rather keep the stock radio. Another route I have thought about is that the Keg can connect to kenwood's sirrus adapter. The sirrus adapter needs a deck though to support it. I dont know how much I could fit in the space the stock deck is but If it was possible I could put a aftermarket deck (other than kenwood) as well as the kenwood sirrus adapter into the factory radio space I think I would still come out ahead.

Music keg runs about $399 from Crutchfield and I could probably pick up a sirrus adapter for about $50 as well as a deck for about $150-$200.

If anyone has anythoughts on this or advice let me know

you have to have a kenwood deck for the music keg, no 2 ways about it. if you want to use a sirus tunner u still need the deck to plug that into. The only way to use the stock deck is a keg that is rf mod. i know neo has one its around 250-300 bucks and it plugs right into the antenna and works through a remote. to be honest I work at best buy and we carried both of them for about a year now and we have sold all of about 2 tops. but the neo is the way you want to go.
