key fob question

i have a 96 gt i bought many years ago.i bought it used so it didnt come with any key fobs or anything.i know you can get them and program them pretty easily but how do i know if my car has whatever it needs in it already or not to make the key fob functional???? i dont know if the car ever had them or not but id like to try and get them.

If you have elec locks and windows now, you should have keyless. You can get 2 fobs on ebay for like $30

not all power locks can be operated by remote.


cycle you key from run to the off position about 10 times quickly. if your doors lock and unlock then you just need a remote. if they dont lock and unlock you cant use a remote
