I've searched, no results. Does anyone know and/or recommend a shop in K-town or surrounding areas that can tune my car? I'd really like to getting it running perfect (a/f ratio mainly) before I venture into some more mods.:flag:

Unfortunately there is not, LNS Motorsports is in west knox but they primarily tune porshe and subaru but I havent heard about them tuning any modulars in the area. Check out there site anyway or give them a call, I cant say anything good or bad because I have no experience with them.

However I have heard good things about RWTD out of AL, and also Amazon Racing out of NC,SC(not sure which). Could be worth the drive if you want something spot on.

One last but not least is Scott Noe from Noes performance, he is an SCT dealer and I have heard nothing but good things about him, unfortunately for me I have a Diablo so I will be probably getting a mail order form RWTD. If you havent checked out highperformancetoys.com you should and you can pm Scott from there and ask him a few q's. Good luck and let me know what you decide.

No problem, are you new to east tn? Well if you are new and into drag racing we have 4 1/8 tracks pretty close, and the nearest 1/4 is Bristol. The eighth tracks are 411, Knoxville Dragway, English Mountain, and Cherokee. 411 seems to hook the best for me so i'm kinda biased to run there. Feel free to ask me anything and if you ever wanna go to the track pm me and let me know, ive got some kdw2's id like to try out anyway.....more mustangs the better.

Nah, except for a stint of living in FL, I've lived here all my life. I've been several times to Knoxville Dragway close to Halls/Maynardville. In fact, I went ahead and laid a base run down there last October to see what I was working with in my GT (a 9.72, sucky). I took my '93 GT to 411 once and did the best I ever did with it, a 9.54. I pretty much keep my stuff stock, so no killer times obviously.

I found Amazon Racing's website, they are out of Anderson, SC. They look very professional. I read some reviews in an SVT forum that raved about their attention to detail. I think I'm going to go in May and have them give me a tune. I'm tinkering with the notion of N2O, so I definately want it running perfect before I did that.

Once we get over this cold snap, I may give you a yell and see when you're going to the track next. I've got a couple of buddies that may go as well. I have a friend that just put an FRPP 392 in his '83 (full cage, 9 inch rear end, etc.) and am anxious to go this August up to Bristol to watch him!

Yea i've heard good things from Amazon, I think you'll be fine w a tune from them and it looks like they install nitrous kits as well from their site:nice: . I've got plans next wknd but the wknd of 20 I would really like to go for a test n tune day.

I live in Fountain City, so Knox or 411 are pretty close to me and it sounds like thats the tracks you go to. I bet that 83 is a beast:flag: . But yea man just give me a pm whenever you and ur friends are thinking about heading to the track, i'd like to tag along, and i'll do the same when I decide to go. Its always better to have some more street cars to play around with:D

Robert Hindman should be able to help you out and he is in Knoxville. I'll try to dig up his phone number for you. no dyno there but he knows his stuff. I also think there is a place in the knoxville area called Air Cooled Classics that might be able to help you out. Go to this site at the bottom and ask in the Ford section. They should be able to help you out. www.highperformancetoys.com Might be a little out numbered by the F-bodies but it is mostly all east TN people. hope this helps.

Cool, thanks! Yeah, Hindman is a legend in the Mustang world.:flag: I didn't know he worked on other people's stuff though.
