So I have the opportunity to pick up a slightly used set of coil overs for a couple hundred bucks. Does anybody have any experience with Koni's? I've heard that they are only worth if you take the time to tune them exactly the way you want. What all does "tuning" exactly include? From what I've gathered there are two simple adjustments, the first being a knob located on top and the second at the bottom which can be adjusted with a wrench.

Koni coil overs? YOu mean koni struts with a coil over setup like Maximum Motorsports sells? If so the lower adjustment is for ride height, and the upper depending on if there double or single adjustable is for bound/rebound adjustment or just rebound adjustment (the single adj. has a set shock bound setting which is not changable w/o revalving).

If this bound and rebound stuff isnt making sense read this and/or go to Koni's website for better descriptions. Thres no need for me to rewrite it here...

Oh and you WILL NEED 4-bolt caster camber plates for a coil over setup. Maximum Motorsports sells good ones.

I have Steeda 4-bolt CC plates. I believe they are just Koni shocks that have been converted. The guy I'm getting them from said they were too time consuming to tune which is why he replaced them with a set of Maximum Motorsports coil overs.
