Lakewood bellhousing

Has anyone run these? With the times I plan on running with my new engine combo, I need a blowproof bellhousing to stay legal. I'm currently running an SROD bellhousing on my T5. I will have custom headers fabbed, so clutch cable routing shouldn't be a problem, but how well does it fit the transmission tunnel?

I have not used one on a II, just have used them on other vehicles. They are MUCH larger than stock bells. They are also a major PITA to install, because you can't just bolt them on, you need to check crank runout clearance and set them using offset block dowels.

You will need one if you want to run 11.99 or quicker legally. You will also need an SFI flywheel and SFI clutch setup at the same ET. You'll also need the following for 11.99-11.00...

-shifter with reverse lockout
-driveshaft loop
-proper rating helmet
-coolant overflow, min 1 quart
-master cutoff (if battery is relocated)
-5 point legal roll bar with approved padding in helmet contact area
-SFI fire jacket
-5 point SFI harness

If you dip into the 10.00-10.99 range, all of the above will be legal with the addition of afermarket rear axles, and transmission shied

BTW, this list was not directed at you 1badii, but for general knowledge for everyone here

Time to bring this back up. I'm running mid 12's at the moment. Once I get a daily driver, I plan to run a nitrous kit, and hopefully dip into the 11's.

I have a helmet and DS loop already. So I'd be looking at needing..

- SFI bellhousing, SFI flywheel and SFI clutch setup
- 5 point legal roll bar with approved padding in helmet contact area
- SFI fire jacket
- 5 point SFI harness

I'm running a T5 with the rad4 bellhousing, with a regular clutch and flywheel. is there a SFI clutch/flywheel for the II? It sounds like this is going to be a huge headache. I really don't want to have to change my whole setup. I'd like to leave my headers where they are too. :|
