Since I sold the '67 track car over the Holidays I've had the need for speed again, so I picked up this little gem brand new at a local dealer just a few weeks ago.

2014 Premium GT "Brembo Edition" Black on black leather, heated seats and "SYNC", with 6-speed, 3.73's, 19" wheels and 14" Brembos up front.

Mods so far include 3" mandrel stainless cat-back exhaust system with x-pipe and custom axle-back kit with 40-series Flows.

Ford really put together a solid car and I've been enjoying it a lot. Still only have about 800 miles on the clock so I've been being easy on it. I was able to turn a 12.9 @ 113 MPH according to the onboard 1/4 mile timer, short shifting at about 6200-6300 RPM and annihilating the tires in 2nd gear. I figure I can pick up a few more tenths in due time. Here are a few pics...

Whew... you're lucky.

I tried landing one of those before. The right rudder controls made the thing accelerate hard while the left caused it to decelerate violently. The pitch control on the yoke appeared to be frozen solid and once I got the thing airborne, I couldn't get it to maintain altitude.



Has to be a manufacturer's defect of some sort. Glad that yours is flying like it should.

@jetmech807 I think, experienced similar issues with the one he flew.

Suspension time, did a little research and it looks like I'm going with the Steeda Ultralite springs, BMR adjustable track bar, BMR boxed steel lower control arms, and the BMR LCA drop brackets.

Goodbye 4x4 and wheel hop.

bwkelley: Very cool. Mothball the engine cover.
I love these cars because they aren't complex with the security system, and don't have those sissy Audi eyelash lights, lane exit warning systems, or automatic braking. Smarter cars equal dumber people. Am I right?
Noobz: I'm gonna cry. Looks like a near t-bone to me. Fly on, and keep the yoke tilted away from the dumbass in the Infiniti.

Just a rant.

Lowering went well. Love the BMR lowers and brackets. ZERO wheel-hop and a much better feel when launching (less squat but more front lift if that makes sense)

Here are a few before and after pics. In a few weeks the car should settle a bit, however I'm OK with where it is now if it doesn't. I appreciate the fact that it isn't "dumped".

I went ahead and got 'em.

19x8.5 fronts and 19x10 rears. Also got a set of 285/35/19 Goodyear F1 tires for the back. Kept the original fronts for now.
