Your friend might need more experience driving a stick. The best thing about having a manual is making the car do whatever you want it to do. As you can see, the majority of us don't have a problem at all with 4.10s or even 4.30s. Hang around the race track and you'll see exactly how the experience guys accomplish this, but seat time is what your friend really needs.

I have the stock 3.27's and I only need it barely above idle to get moving. Probably around 1000 rpms.

I never needed to use the gas.

That's impressive. With my drag radials on, I need to at least turn the crank with a breaker bar to spin them.

4:10's are still in the garage but my car starts to burn out just by looking at them

The other night I woke up to the sound of my Stang doing a burnout in the driveway even though I had the keys inside, through the smoke I could see something running across the street...and it seemed to be laughing.... yup.... Mother******* 4.10s!!!!!!!!

I drive in the snow with Dr's and 4:10's, I don't give a fu**. Don't be skeered!

Ever since I got my 4.10's I have to start off in 5th gear!
Even then I fish-tail all over the place and throw up such a cloud of white smoke that I have to change my tires every 5th launch.

J/K....Learn how to drive guys, jeez.
