Or is it normal. I know it did not do it in my 98Gt! BTW the whole rearend is stock and car is a 01 gt!

Uh oh, doesn't sound good to me....time to think about upgrading that arse end! For a DD you should be okay but the fact that you got DR's tells me different...

Isnt it a good idea to rebuild it while putting gears in? I know they sell something for when replacing gears, just cant remember what it is!

yes it sounds like the clutch packs are starting to wear out.

You can get an eaton posi with an electronic locker...works best IMHO because you can turn off the lock for street driving, and lock the rear at the track with a push of a button.

Yep your clutches are slipping in the back. That is the same problem I am having. No problems what so ever on the road but when you want to get traction, one wheel peel. This is why I cant hit 12s lol.

This is happening to me also.

Before I got DR's even.

I wasn't aware until we had some fun in a parking lot and a friend told me I'm getting the classic one tire fire. Sure enough I'm leaving single tire tread marks.

I just bought some 4.10 gears and the bearing kit from MustangTuning. I'd like to get 31 spline axels, but need to know what else I need to get and where is the best price. Apparently I'll need an Eaton Posi for the 31 splines... what does this come with and will I need more to 'rebuild the trac-lok'?

Guy I knew had the same problem. Do what he did in the meanwhile. Buy one slick for the good side.
