If it was a fantasy and no price limits were involved.....

I have no idea what motor id want.. all i know is there wouldnt be a supra or camaro that would dare line up against me. The car would lope so loud and vibrate the ground so hard that women would be running for towels everywhere i drove it.

I would want a perfect balance of out of the hole torque and highway horepower. that way no matter who i ran (an evo from a dig, or a supra on the highway) i wouldnt have to worry about my car ending up on a supra or camaro forum as a victim of a kill story. Instead it would be "i had no idea that a fox could be that fast"

I would show up for an episode of Pinks, and before the first race, the other driver would just hand me the keys to his car and walk away.

When i start the car up in my garage, all of my neighbors come outside and set up lawn chairs just to see me pull it into the driveway for its weekly wash.

Little kids in my neighborhood would all dream of having a car just like it when they grew up, and my daughter wouldnt date a guy without a mustang because of it.

My wife would be as into mustangs as i am. And want me to build her one of her own.

They always say, that "there is always someone faster out there" .... Well, i want to be the guy to beat.

Full road race suspension built completely from scratch with custom upper and lower A arm setup at each wheel, a Man-o-war based 302 stroker at about 370ci built to run 8k RPM+, all motor but with spray just in case, ran through a 6 speed trany and into a custom IRS to work with the double A arm rear end. The rest is just details

I dream big...lol

oh and if i had to add to the list of stuff i want, i would like a full wolfe racecraft suspension, to put me into like 1.1 60's, that would be sooooo sick.

So it's a breezy autumn night and the moon is full and reminds us of a giant ball of radiant passion. As I put my hand around the shifter... I notice the radio light is begining to flicker. I get out dragging my glove down the side of the car and look into those beautiful headlights. They are trancing like a cat on a hot tin shack. And then... well that's between my car and me

I want a long(er) rod, high compression, overhead cam 10,000rpm+ capable 700hp 289 and full roadrace suspesion with a Titus paintjob for the '68. It would run on pump gas, idle at 800rpm, and get 22mpg on the highway and last 200k miles before a re ring.

For somethng actually possible to get, I'd take a Genesis block 427, a dogring T-56, 35 spine 9", 4 wheel discs, 15x10s, the best roadrace suspension, and the Titus paint.

Ok, longer, but not so long it's impractical. Too long and you can't use it all; don't want to hit the end of the bore. It needs to be wider too other wise it will just bend. Gotta be ridgid and unyielding ya know.

Well done, taken out of context. I need to be more careful around you guys.

Drive to the track with the tunes on let some air out of the Mickey Thompson drag radials and run some low 9 sec numbers and drive home. I'll let you all know how it goes this year.
