Does anyone have an economical trigger wheel setup with crank sensor bracket they can share.

I've seen a few with the trigger wheel mounted between the balancer and the pulley. Did this cause any alignment issues with the belt system?

What I'm looking at so far.

So I used a 36-1 wheel and spacer kit from 64-bit tuning with the aftermarket balancer it made belt alignment easy. The sensor is a hall effect I had sitting around, the same one can be purchased from diyautotune. I took a timing pointer and modified it with some sheet metal for the sensor mount. Works great.

Where is the crank pulley going to mount? You just have that bolted in for test fit?

Here is what I'm running.

It is not the flat style. I assume I need to have 1/8 removed from the pulley mount surface to get this aligned up?

Crank bolts into place right to the front of the wheel.

Crank Trigger Install on 94/95 302/351 setup

I searched and searched for options on a crank trigger for a 94/95 serpentine belt type setup. After hours of searching the only direct bolt on kit i saw was over $700 from inovatorswest.com which was a balancer with magnets machined on the front and some expensive brackets and sensor. I had...

Another 94/95 bug bite.

Looks like I need the following to do this if I wanted it between the balancer and pulley.

1. Diyauto 6.75 wheel
2. DIY auto threaded sensor
3. Innovators west .300 spacer
4. Machine down balancer .300 plus

Major pain.

Any reason I could not mount out in front of the pulley with some spacers?

Here is a picture of a 94 95 pulley.

I don't think it would be hard to use longer bolts and spacers to locate the wheel in front.

why not see if the trigger wheel fits on the back side of the balancer? thats how I have done it in the past.

No reason why you cannot place it in front of the pulley except for possible belt issues..

You always have the option of using a cam sync or a CAS type setup.

That might work on the back. Do you tack weld it in place?
