As of Jan 2008, Michigan is permanatley getting rid of the old blue license plate that has been out since the early 80's. I just got my new plate, and it is a reflective white. I know this sounds stupid, but the back of my Cobra and my notchback, looks better now, just with a lecense plate change!!! I now have a collection of 4 plates in my garage that I can no longer use. What does everybody else think of their states plates?

These are the regular plates we get when you put a car on the road. There not too bad looking compared to some other states. This is the style I have on my DD and Mustang right now.

This is one of the special license plates the state offers, theres about 16 special plates that they offer right now. I had one of these on my mustang for a while and really looked nice. When I took the car off the road for money reasons I had to return it. It costs extra though, I think it was like $40 but I didn't mind paying that because it benefits the Mass 9/11 fund and local police and fire departments. I will probably go back to one of these plate eventually.

The second plate is pretty cool! USA!! I would like to get a vanity plate but Michiganders have to wait 90+days!! You would have to order one in the winter to get your plate for your summer ride.

I wish I could get a plate on my car with your avatar as the background!!!!!

i guess ohios are alright. I just want a plain white plate with whatever colored text....thats it.

ohio had these crappy Bicentennial plates forever with a big red, white, and blue logo....yuck

tinted plate covers help a lot anyway

I WISH CT had one of those American Flag plates. Ours is just a small section at the bottom, looks boring. We have the save the sound plates that have a lighthouse on it and those look good, but the flag oen would be awesome.

I love CALIFORNIA plates!! I like how the name of the state is written instead of printed. My friend moved there, then came back for 2 months, so when we cruised together, his CALI plate looked sweet at night! I think there plates have been the same forever.

The regular Indiana plates look like @ss. They're not stamped like most license plates, they're just screen printed metal, with a bar code on the bottom no less.

Some Indiana motorists have been pulled over by police in other states because the tags look like fakes.

They made the change just as I got personalized plates for the SSP. I thought I was going to get the old style plate

but when I went to the BMV to pick it up they handed me the hideous new one. The look of disgust on my face prompted the BMV lady to say, "We see that reation alot."

I did not renew the fugly personalized plate, but got a D.A.R.E. plate (one of about 100 specialty plates IN has) instead.

It's still just a flat, screen printed piece of metal, but it looks much nicer (and appropriate) on the back of the SSP.

We're getting new, regular plates next year. They don't look as if they're going to be much better than what we have now.

Yeah but CA plates are plain and boring.

You would think that that the greatest state in the country could think of something a little more creative than a plain white plate with red text  .

Oh, I forgot about the really old ones....back in the 60-80s...I like the latest one...the writing is cool.

New York has way too many to show you......College teams, Professional teams, occupations, orginazations. All sorts of stuff. I like the Yankees Plates, i am going to get one for my truck.
